Frequently asked questions.
Is coaching for me?
To answer this, we probably need to chat it through. You will then be able to assess for yourself if coaching is for you. It may also help to read through a couple of case studies to see how others have used coaching.
Why do you offer a free coaching session?
Trust is imperative to our working relationship; this can only start with an open and honest conversation. The session will explore your goals and expectations, as well as dispel any myths and fears relating to coaching. The free no obligation coaching session is a simple and quick way to enable you to decide if what our approach is right for you.
What am I paying for?
Time, energy and knowhow; coaches play different roles to enable people to progress their goals; listener, challenger, supporter, negotiator... Coaches cover all these factors and more. The sessions are crafted to provide a space for you to explore, discover and make decisions about what actions are required to progress.
In each session we will tap into a variety of evidence based tools and techniques to enable you to keep learning and developing. The insight gained assists you in breaking free of limiting ways of being, as well as supporting you on your journey to reaching your goals.
What happens in a coaching session?
As a coach we listen, we ask questions, we provide tools and techniques to enable you to bring about fresh perspectives on how you think, behave and feel about yourself and situations in life, both individually and as part of a team.
Each session starts with us considering what you would like the session outcome to be and then considering where you are at the present moment in relation to this outcome. Then we will explore how we get going on achieving this goal. As coaches we provide a trusting environment for you to explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. We listen out for, and challenge, old beliefs, patterns in stories, body language and observed behaviours, by asking insight giving questions. This enables individuals and teams to start thinking of opportunities or solutions you hadn’t imagined before.
Our sessions don’t end there; homework helps to keeping momentum going as well as providing further opportunities to reflect, build awareness, or test out new ways of being that will help you reach your goals.
